HUGO BLADEL Leans into irresistible funk tones with new single ‘FEEL THE LOVE’

Bringing together lush melodies with clean production that will have heads turned with ease, Hugo Bladel presents ‘Feel the Love’.

Premiering online with Pilerats this week, the latest from the now Melbourne based songwriter pines for the warmer, blissful days of summer; putting that thumping bass line in the mix with Bladel’s smoking vocals makes ‘Feel the Love’ an instant groover.

From the jump, early RÜFÜS vibes can be heard on ‘Feel the Love’, while the likes of SAFIA and Tom Misch can be heard in the soulful threads of the song’s arrangement. ‘Feel the Love’ chugs with vibrancy but knows when to pull back and let Bladel’s vocals simmer which on their own, do well in enticing the listener to get the chorus stuck in their head. “’Feel the Love‘ is about swallowing your pride, surrendering to feeling and allowing yourself to feel the love!”

As a recipient of the Nick Balcombe Foundation Grant along with fellow Tassie upstarts A. Swayze and The Ghosts, Bladel has spent much of 2018 deep in new music mode, using the grant to fund the recording of his new sounds at Hobart’s Red Planet Recording Studios. Already kicking off the year with shows at the Marion Bay Falls Festival, Party in the Paddock and as part of this year’s Australian Open Live line up, Bladel’s musical journey has been chartered for a busy, busy 2018.

Bladel will be launching ‘Feel the Love’ with two unmissable shows in Melbourne and Hobart this July, with more news surrounding the shows still to come. In the meantime, mark the dates below down and come ready to experience an uniquely Hugo Bladel high, as he showcases what he’s been working on for the year to come.
