Featured artist: Kylie Brice

We have an abundance of talent in SA, and yet some of that talent seems to fly under the radar for so long. Kylie Brice is one such talent.

Releasing her debut single ‘Journey to Myself’ in September of 2015 Kylie followed up with her debut EP ‘Broken and Beautiful’ in February of 2016.

Journey to Myself (2015) Echoes the plight of those people who are trying to fight their way out of the black hole of depression and anxiety disorder.

It’s obvious that Kylie Brice songs come from the heart. It’s also clear that she cares how others receive that music and its messages. The honesty and passion with which Brice delivers her messages is heart-warming.

Juggling motherhood and song writing, Brice is in demand around the local Adelaide music scene because of the key values she portrays through her music.

Kylie has recently started performing with a full band – The Kylie Brice Band is made up of: Kylie Brice – Vocals, Guitar, Staffy Lee – Acoustic & Electric Guitar, ‘Disco Dave’ Kitteringham – Bass and Ian Reid – Drums.

Citing influences such as Paul Colman, Missy Higgins, Carole King, John Denver, Cat Stevens, Eddie Vedder, Brooke Fraser, KT Tunstall, Newton Faulkner, Butterfly Boucher, Germein Sisters and Clare Bowditch. Kylies’ style is all her own and her songs are her personal message to others that they “… are unique and valuable – and they can overcome their own obstacles …”
